What’s Going on Here?

Enchantress Taking Over

Not one, but two Enchantress decks went undefeated online this week. It has grown from 0% to 1% of the meta with lists offering diversity and multiple methods of attack. We covered Enchantress a couple of weeks ago, and there are many primers online as well.

As an Enchantress player, I’m happy to see the deck picking up steam again. Enchantress players seem to be trying to tune their lists, but they’re also discovering you can win however you want if you have the mana.

Skill and Show?

Arcane Artisan is starting to see more play. It’s ability to get around Containment Priest seems just a little broken. It also survives Pyroclasm and Kozelik’s Return.

When Battlebond first spoiled, we were wondering if Arcane Artisan had a place in Sneak and Show. A reoccurring, one-sided, every-turn Show and Tell seems pretty good.

Last Chance and the Invitational

Many people are looking forward to wizard battling this weekend. Rumor is Death and Taxes and Sneak and Show are the decks of choice.

Saturday will show what people think the best meta decks are, and Sunday, people may change for what they saw on Saturday. It’ll be a weekend of fun and chaos, and I’m struggling to contain my energy.

Geek Fortress Games Legacy moves to Saturday

Hated having to choose between Church and Legacy at your local game store? Hated having to choose between the MTGO Legacy Challenge and Legacy at your local games store?

Geek Fortress Games has switched their weekly Legacy from Sunday at 1pm to Saturday at 1pm. This’ll make it easier for me, and will let me cram more Legacy into every week. I hope to see you there.

As an added benefit, if it’s your first time playing Legacy at Geek Fortress Games, your first entry is free.

Less Exciting News…

Didn’t make it to SDCC? The planeswalker cards look awesome. They’ll be available on August 13th on Hasbro’s Website.

Other than that, this week is filled with exciting news, chaos, and opportunity for new decks to become king of the meta.
